Missing Americans

Since the incident happened, the MSM has given us a daily report of how many men and material has been used to look for the three missing soldiers. Then suddenly, everything goes quiet. What happened to the coverage? Are the bodies found mutilated near the city of Mahmoudia our actual troops and why is there no positive identification?

hard to say.

the white house has reasons for not releasing certain types of information. it could be something as simple as pending parental or familial notification.

take everything mike savage says with a big grain of salt, dude.

Well my take is that if you made a big story out of this, if the MSM reported what was done or possibly done by the BAD GUYS to these soldiers, it would go against their agenda of appeasement and insurgent love they like to portray, after all, as Rosie said, "they're mothers and fathers just like us!"

One of the wondrous things about any administration, republican or democrat, is that for all the justifiable reasons to withhold information (familial notifications, etc), there is always the ever present political factor - the spin. It is indeed profitable, at this time, for the administration to minimize bad news - as news is literally the litmus test for the management of this war... bad news, correctly or incorrectly, conveys mismanagement and paints a very poor picture for presidential candidates to explain.

I find it difficult to fathom why main stream media goes absolutely nuts about a story like this (aside from the obvious fact that it is emotionally marketable)... we know people are dying in this war. Hell, in the last three days alone there were 14 American military to add to the toll - but why isn't this as big of a story as the 3 missing soldiers? Why not spread the focus a bit and talk about the others - not just American military, but the thousands of Americans working as mercenaries for Blackwater Inc. or countless deaths in the Iraqi military?

Arguably, main stream media has its profit motivations, as does the current administration its political motivations, and all of these factors seem to make MSM news less valuable day by day. This is somewhat daunting, I think, for concerned citizens.
